How can Therapy help with Anger management?

As well as  aggressive behavior, social withdrawal, verbal and physical abuse, when we become angry there are physiological symptoms of the anger as well as psychological and physical ones. Our heart rate increases, blood pressure goes up and adrenaline is pumped around the body. For this reason. losing your temper on a regular and consistent basis can also potentially lead to health issues such as hypertension and heart troubles. Some people find it helps to release this tension- by shouting or getting angry, Others can often repress this anger until it can ultimately lead the person to ‘explode’ when they feel they can’t ‘take it anymore’, Leading to further issues and problems for these individuals and the people in their lives. Neither is good and these are just some of the reasons why it is imperative that the anger is controlled as soon as the individual become aware that they have a problem.controlling their anger.

Anger can be caused by a variety of issues, including frustration, feeling helpless, wronged, guilty, feeling hurt, disappointment and sometimes physical issues; such as hunger, pain, tiredness or sexual frustration as well as various other reasons. Hypnotherapy is often used to access the root of the problem, find the cause of the anger. Hypnotherapy also helps to change this pattern of  undesirable behaviour and thinking mechanism’s that often ‘trigger’ the anger. Finally, hypnotherapy can help the individual to learn new, more calm ways of dealing with the anger and utilisng it in a more appropriate way. .
