When you think about it, most people get stressed- but stress can have a devastating effect on people’s lives. Do you feel stressed out and unable to manage at times? Anxious- panicky? Out of control?

Things such as work, interviews, being made redundant, fears about the future, anxieties about the past as well as various other things, all contribute to stress and can often lead to a ‘fight’ or ‘flight response’. Either we feel the need to stay and fight it- or we run away from it. Either is not good and research has shown that stress can often lead to more serious underlying conditions if we do not learn how to manage it properly.

Sometimes we may try to control stress by taking up a relaxing hobby- such as yoga or art. Whereas these are excellent short term solutions they do not address the underlying issue.
