Iam a highly trained, experienced full time counsellor who is trained in clinical hypnotherapy. I’am fully accredited and registered with the National counselling and Psychotherapy Society and the National council of Hypnotherapy.
I offer a safe space for my clients to process their experiences without judgement. I’m also a therapist who does not hesitate to offer her insight (If this is what the client requests) and often work intuitively. I love my work with a passion and counselling is a full time job for me. Previously, I have also worked in the social care field and volunteered/worked for various mental health organisations; “Mind” the mental health charity, St Mungos (mental health supported housing” and the mental health department at St Pancras hospital etc.
I work mainly from a person-centred approach and also implement an integrative approach to therapy to suit the individual client needs. I also hold an honours degree in psychology.
I have been described as an IDM level 3i therapist by my counselling supervisor. (Monthly supervision is a requirement of being an accredited counsellor even in private practice) Which is considered to be the highest level of professional growth achieved as a counsellor, according to the Integrated Developmental Model of Supervision.
As with all professional and ethical therapists, I am also covered by professional indemnity insurance and am a firm believer in continuing professional development.
I have worked with clients in treating various issues and invite you to get in touch with any queries you may have with regards to therapy and how I could help.
The NCH and NCPS are all accredited by the professional standards authority which accredits registers to help people of the public get better care by ensuring that the health practitioners they register are competent, trustworthy and trained to a high standard. The professional standards authority is recognised by the NHS and the Department of Health has recommended that where people are looking for therapists they use someone who is accredited by the professional standards authority which is the gold standard.
